Our HISTORY
A cake for a princess
Sweden's best-selling cake for more than 100 years is the Princess Cake. It is a cake consisting of a couple of layers of cake bases, separated with vanilla cream. A thicker layer of cream is placed over this, which in turn is covered with a lid of green marzipan. With the years so it has become common to also add a layer
raspberry jam between 2 cake bases.
The bakers Gunnar Laag and Lasse Kaiser got in the late 1990s the idea of printing pictures directly instead of the green marzipan on the marzipan and in 2000 they received a patent for their method, that with a printer to print text and color images directly on baked goods with food coloring.
The brand became Piece of Cake and exists today these printers all over the world. With the company name Pictures on Cakes was further developed the printer of the third generation M600+, which was now in almost 10 years.
We have also developed a design concept that also works for the printers that can print on sugar paper so-called icing sheets and wafer paper.
A concept with the help of which you will be able to enchant, maybe not a princess, but well those who will take part of the personal cake you easily and quickly designed yourself.
